Make a Difference That Moves: Why You Should Join All Things Possible Medical Fundraising’s Board
Have you ever considered leveraging your skills and experience to make a real impact in your community? All Things Possible Medical Fundraising (ATP) offers a unique opportunity to do just that! By joining their board of directors or advisory board, you can directly contribute to the life-changing work they do for families and individuals in need.
ATP tackles a critical issue: providing wheelchair vans to those who can’t afford them. These vans are more than just vehicles; they are lifelines, granting independence, access to medical care, and the chance to participate fully in life.
Here are just a few of the benefits:
Make a Tangible Difference: ATP directly improves lives. As a board member, you’ll be involved in strategic decision-making, ensuring the organization continues to effectively meet the needs of its beneficiaries. Witnessing the impact of your efforts will be incredibly rewarding.
Develop Valuable Skills: Board service allows you to hone your leadership, governance, and strategic planning skills. You’ll also gain a deeper understanding of non-profit operations and fundraising.
Expand Your Network: Connect with passionate individuals who share your desire to give back. Board members come from diverse backgrounds, offering a wealth of knowledge and experience to tap into.
Give Back with Your Expertise: Whether you’re a lawyer, accountant, marketing whiz, or community leader, your skills can be invaluable to ATP. By sharing your expertise, you’ll directly contribute to the organization’s success.
Board of Directors vs. Advisory Board: ATP offers two board structures:
- Board of Directors: Directors hold a legal responsibility for the organization’s health and well-being. This involves attending board meetings six times a year (virtual & in person) and a more strategic oversight. Board of Directors membership entails critical responsibilities to strengthen our reach including strategic planning, budgeting input, fundraising, voting on applications received, and the sharing of your unique knowledge and talents. In addition to your input via email throughout the year, we require attendance and participation at board meetings every other month (virtual and in person). Your commitment to guiding our organization’s direction, ensuring accountability, and contributing your expertise will be instrumental in driving our mission forward. Together, we can make a meaningful difference throughout the Carolinas.
- Advisory Board: Advisory board members provide expert advice and guidance on specific areas, such as fundraising, marketing, or legal matters but don’t have the same legal responsibilities. Meetings are generally informal and are project specific. This can be a good option for those who want to be involved but have less time to commit.
Join the Movement: Whether you have extensive leadership experience or specific skills you’d like to share; we encourage you to consider joining our team. By becoming a board member, you’ll play a vital role in helping ATP continue gifting wheelchair vans families and individuals, granting them hope, freedom, and mobility.
